At higher temperatures, the structure of the material can be damaged and create even more complex problems: shrink, melt, harden, etc.

How to smooth out leather pants, shorts, skirts?

To make ironing easier, try one of the easy methods that does not require an iron or steamer. Fasten the item evenly on a hanger with clips. Using a sprayer, apply warm water evenly over the entire surface of the item and leave for a few minutes. Then, wipe the leather with a soft cloth and treat it with a special cream. The folds and clips should be reduced from the first time. Leave the item on the hanger for a few more days and see for yourself the good result.

If the item is made of special leather (embossed, laser-cut, patent leather), it is recommended to remove wrinkled areas with an iron. Turn the skirt, sundress or shorts inside out and place them on a flat surface or ironing board. Press the problem areas with a low-heat iron or iron completely through a soft cloth. Repeat several times, lubricate the treated area with cream and check the result after a few hours.

When the problem is not critical, you can use a vinegar solution to straighten the leather. Mix a small amount with warm water and fabric softener. Spray the solution on the wrinkle and gently pull the material in different directions. Wipe with a cloth and repeat again. After that, lubricate the area with glycerin or a special leather product. Leather sofas, seats, chairs, armchairs can be ironed and steamed, like other things. After the procedure, the furniture should stand without use, so that the result is fixed.

How to remove creases from boots and shoes?

A pronounced crease in the places where shoes bend and unbend is a common occurrence, even with short-term wear. Once it occurs, the crease will increase in size and spoil the appearance of shoes or sneakers. The problem can be solved at home, using an iron, warm water and a thick cloth napkin.

Fill the toe of the shoe with a factory shoe shaper or use any available filler: newspaper, paper, materials. The shoe tree should be dense, imitating the owner’s foot. Dip the wet fabric in warm water, wring it out and apply to the fold. Heat the iron to high temperatures, turning off the air supply, and apply to the skin through a damp cloth.

Universal methods

• Treat the item with a special cream or glycerin. Rub the product in circular motions, smoothing the leather in the wrinkled areas. This will allow the material to become more pliable and elastic. Repeat the procedure up to 5 times and place the item on a hanger, on the back of a chair, or lay it out on a free surface.
